Grand Theft Auto V is an Action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North and distributed by Rockstars games. It was delivered in September 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, in November 2014 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and in April 2015 concerning Microsoft Window. It is the first chief entry in the Grand Theft Auto series considering 2008's Grand Theft Auto IV. Arranged within the fictional state of San Andreas, based on Southern California, the single-player story supports three criminals and their efforts to commit heists while under tension from a government company. The open-world design lets players freely roam San Andreas' open countryside and frictional city of Los Santos, based on Los Angles.

Grand  Theft Auto V is an experience game played from unless a third person or by the first-person panorama. The player complete commission, the player may freely traverse the open world. Composed of the San Andreas open countryside region, including the fictional Blaine County, and the fictional city of  Los Santos, the world is much larger in area than earlier entries in the category. It may be fully investigated after the game's beginning without constraint, although story progress unlocks more gameplay content.

Some commissions are completed with only one character and others feature two or three. Outside the mission player switch between attaining at will by a directional compass on the HUD. The game may switch character automatically during mission to complete specific objectives. A character's compass avatar will flesh red if he is in danger and need help and flash white if he has a decisive advantage. Though player complete mission require aid Al-controlled accessories with unique skills sets like machine hacking and driving. If an accomplice survives a prosperous heist, they take a cut from the cut bonuses and may be available for later missions with affection to their individual skills. Some heist affords multiple procedures in a robbery mission, the player may either stealthily subdue commoners with an incapacitating attorney or conspicuously charge the venue with guns carries.

 While free-roaming the game world, the player may engage in context-specific activities such as Scuba diving and BASE jumping. each character has a smartphone for communicating friends, starting activities and obtaining an in-game internet.
