Tom Clancy's Ghost Recons Wildlands, (commonly referred to as Ghost Recons Wildlands) is a tactical shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Paris and published by Ubisoft. 

it was released worldwide on March 7,2017, for Microsoft Window,Playstation 4 and Xbox One, as the tenth installment in the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon franchises and is the first game in the Ghost Recons series to feature a open world environment.

The game moves away from the futuristic setting introduce in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recons Advanced Warfighter and instead features a setting similar to original Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. Ubisoft described as the one of the biggest open world that they have published, with the game world including a wide variety of enviroment such as mountain,forest,desert and salt flats.

A sequel, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recons Breakpoint, was announced in May 2019.

Wildlands features a wide range of environment, which include 

mountains and deserts and players will be able to parachute while exploring these.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildland is the Tactical Shooter game set in open world environment and played fro third person prespective with an optional first person view for gun aiming. Player play as the member of the Delta Company, First Battalion,5th special force group known as "Ghost", a fictional elite special operation unit of the United State Army under the Joint Special Operation Command. It does not feature the futuristic setting used in Advanced Warfighter and future Soldier, but instead adopts a modern-day setting, similar to the original Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. As a result the equipment featured in the   game is based on weapons and gear commonly used  by the military force around the world. However  it features some original equipment  the such as drones that can be used to tag enemies and show objectives. These drones have limited abilities until upgrade. The game is the first entry to featured an open world environment, which consist of nine different types of terrain,such as: mountains,forests,deserts,salt flats, and also introduce a dynamic weather system as well as a day-night cycle. Completing missions during day-time allows players to spot enemies easily, while completing missions at night grants players a tactical advantage, as the night offers player better concealment and easier infiltration due to some gaurdsmen being asleep. Players are tasked with making abservation before carrying out missions. A variety of vehicles,such as dirt bikes,helicopters and dune buggies are featured in the game. Unlike its predecessors, Wildlands features several side-missions.

When completing mission, player can reach the location where the mission starts through a variety of ways. Player and parachute from a helicopter, walk overland, or drive towards  their objectives. Player are allowed to use multiple ways to complete objective, such as utilizing stealth, melee combat,or using long-ranged or short-ranged weapons provided in the game. The game also features outposts that can be taken down by player. Players can grab enemies at close range with one hand of defense as human shields, while using the other hand to shoot. Player can also gain experience points to level up. The payable character can be customized, and loot found on enemies' corpses can be equipped by player characters. Weapons and gear can be upgrade as well. According to the creative directer of the game the AI of the game is unscripted and has their"own motivation and agendas.

Each of the 21 areas on the map is controlled by a buchon,who is also associated with one of four division of the cartel's operation: Influence,Security,Production and Smuggling. Clearing mission in an area and collecting key intel unlock mission where player can target buchon and eliminate him or her by killing or capturing the target (with some exception). Eliminating enough Buchones in an operation division allow the player to target that division underboss and eliminating that underboss and all the buchons is an operation leaves the division head vulnerable. Capturing the division have cripples and destabilizes the division and makes the cartel boss more vulnerable.

It feature Cooperative multiplayer mode, in which player can be joined by up to three other players to explore the games world and to complete campaign mission. The game can also be played solo,in which the player will be accompanied by three AI teammates,which the player can give orders to, if a player wants more "lone wolf" play style they can be disabled via the setting. A Competitive multiplayer mode has been released as part of free update on October 10,2017. It features an elimination type of game of game mode in a timed 4v4 match will revives. Player can level up through multiplayer game player game play which enables them to improve the different class of character available.

As a component of the continuing to promote the game, Ubisoft has also released short-term special operation DLC. The primary pack released in December 2017 features a mission to hunt the Predator. In the expansion, the team investigates several brutal assassinations in the forested ares of Bolivia until encountering the deadly Predator. After a lengthy battle,the team manages to defeat the predator before it activates its self destruct, killing itself in a massive explosion. The squad debate informing Bowman of the encounter, but ultimately choose to keep it to themselves.

DEVELOPMENT: The development of wild lands began in 2012, and was revealed in the end of Ubisoft's E3 2015 press conference. Ubisoft also claimed that Wild lands will feature the largest open-worlds environment, the developers visited Bolivia for two weeks and asked for consultation from local Bolivians. A modified version of the Anvil Next engine for supporting the large open world environments was used for the game.
