Valorant is an upcoming free-to-play multiplayer first-person shooter developed and published by Riot Games. The game was first announced with the codename Project A in October 2019. It is set to be released for Microsoft Windows in the summer of 2020, with a closed beta that launched on April 7, 2020.

Valorant is a team-based tactical shooter and first-person set in the near destiny. Players consider the control of factors, characters who come from a surplus of nations and cultures around the globe. In the main game style, players join either the charging or supporting team with each team having five players on it. Agents have unique strengths and use an industrial system to acquire their skills and weaponry. The game has a variety of weapons including sidearms, submachine guns, shotguns, device guns, assault rifles, sniper rifles. Each weapon has a recoil pattern that has to be managed by the player in order to be able to shoot perfectly. The attacking crew has a bomb, called the Spike, that they need to plant on a site. If the attacking team famously defends the Spike and it explodes, they get a point. If the defending team strongly defuses the Spike or the 100-second round timer stops, the defending team gets a point. If all the portions of a team are defeated, the defending team earns a point. After twelve steps, the attacking team switches to the defending team and vice versa. The first team to win the best of 24 rounds wins the match.

Valorant is being produced and distributed by Riot Games, who have beforehand acquired League of Legends. Development started in 2014, within their analysis and development department. Joe Ziegler, Valorant's game manager, is recognized for building the initial idea for Valorant when expressing what other games Riot could tell when communicating with other game architects. David Nottingham is the original auteur for Valorant. Trevor Romleski, former League of Legends' author and Salvatore Garozzo, former acknowledged player and map designer of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive are game designers for Valorant. Moby Francke, former Valve developer, who has been art and character creator for Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2, is the art manager for Valorant. The game is being built utilizing the Unreal Engine.
